Lots of interesting connections, but the one that leapt out was “wise use of uncertainty.” “WIse Uncertainty” has been a central concept of Transcendental Politics from its inception, and it’s not a phrase I recall ever hearing anywhere else. I’m very excited about continuing to explore this.
It looks like there are lots of interesting overlaps, Steve. You might also be interested in the “Generative Interactions” and “Metabolizing Polarization” patterns, as well as the “Big Empathy” and “Multi-Modal Intelligence” patterns as interesting extensions of Transcendental Politics’ focus on reason and empathy. The underlying logic of the whole wise democracy pattern language is described in its “prime directive”: “to evoke and engage the wisdom and resourcefulness of the whole on behalf of the whole”, which is described more fully at https://www.wd-pl.com/prime-directive/. We’re currently working on an updated and expanded version of the pattern language which will have new patterns that further overlap TP’s vision, including “Complex Identity” – :-). More later….
Wow – Well done Tom – what a treasury of insight)))
This is pretty cool!
