THE PATTERNS version 1.0

These patterns are features or design principles that we believe would show up repeatedly in a democracy characterized by collective wisdom, as manifested in collective decisions and behaviors that generate long term broad benefits and healthy living systems, both human and natural.  Individually, they derive from real-life examples but rarely show up all together.

We believe that deeper understanding and more integrated use of these patterns can further the development of wiser forms of self-governance.

Here are several approaches to begin your explorations.  They provide different doorways into the whole pattern language.
